Preston House

When Preston House, built at a cost in excess of £5.5 million, opened its doors in Glenrothes in November 2009 it became the latest addition to the Kingdom Homes Limited portfolio of prestigious properties. The 60 bedroom facility is now at the forefront of care in Fife will all residents enjoying large single rooms with en suite toilet and wet floor shower facilities. Preston House has been designed to meet and indeed surpass all current safety regulations and requirements. A state of the art sprinkler system, addressable fire alarm system allowing immediate identification of the source of any fire and swing free door closers feature throughout the building to enhance the safety of residents and staff. Wide corridors with fixed handrails aid less mobile and wheelchair bound residents and low surface temperature radiators create a safer environment for all. Access may be gained directly to the lower floor of the building from the underground car park giving residents and visitors the ability to come and go from vehicles without being exposed to the weather. Two lifts then provide access to the ground and upper floors.

An attractive reception greets those arriving on foot with seating where residents can also relax and meet visitors to the building. The ground floor lounges and dining areas have direct access to the beautifully laid out grounds where there are seating areas so that the gardens may be appreciated at leisure.

Nestling in a semi rural setting but only one mile from the bustling centre of Glenrothes and the town's bus station, Preston House does not distance itself from the many attractions of the surrounding towns like Kirkcaldy and Leven. With regular outings to the shops and to shows at the likes of the nearby Rothes Halls in Glenrothes and other attractions which are always available as part of the Kingdom Homes outreach programme, there is always plenty to do.
