Getting to know the Neighbours

During the bingo session.
Preston House is keen to establish a relationship with other organisations and neighbours in the local community. This lead to the care home approaching the local Asda store to see if they would be interested in visiting Preston House to get to know the residents, some of whom are customers of the store in Glenrothes.
Asda were delighted to get involved and agreed to visit on a weekly basis. The first week they organised a bingo session for the residents. The following week the store brought along a Wii and some games. The residents enjoyed the bowling and golf games and now plan to purchase a Wii console and games with some of the money from their Residents Fund.
The next week, on the agenda, was a Quiz session which, again, the residents thoroughly enjoyed.
It's wonderful to see a huge organisation like Asda supporting and getting involved with the local community in this way and it's hoped that this is the start of a long relationship between Preston House and the local store.
